Job Summary:

This position performs lifeguarding duties to ensure the safety of patrons.

Major Duties:

·         Provides assistance to patrons.

·         Provides first aid as needed. 

·         Provides emergency response as needed. 

·         Enforces pool rules and regulations. 

·         Tests pool chemicals regularly and records results. 

·         Maintains incident reports, chemical logs, and in-service logs. 

·         Performs basic custodial duties. 

·         Requires open availability during our hours of operation. Actual shift times vary weekly based on business needs.

·         Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operations of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Possession of or actively working towards a high school diploma or equivalent.

·    One to two years of experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position. 

·         Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard and Standard First Aid. 

·      Current certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certification by another nationally recognized agency. 

·         Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. 

Must pass a Background/Reference Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screenings prior to the start of employment.
