This position is responsible for providing legal services to indigent clients.

Primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal cases in Superior Court and Juvenile Court of Paulding County.

Note: This is a Non-Civil Service County position.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Graduation from an accredited school of law.

·         Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for four to six years.

·         Current membership in the State Bar of Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Appellate and brief writing a plus.

·         One to two years of criminal trial experience preferred.

·         Working knowledge of conducting legal research including researching precedents in cases, preparation and dissemination of complex documents, pleading compilation, orders, etc…

·         Knowledge of Juvenile Cases.

·         Bilingual a plus but not required.
